Mrs Maryam Augie Abdulmumin

Mrs Maryam Augie Abdulmumin is the Executive Director of ICF which primarily focuses on advocacy and outreach programmes for child education especially in the most remote regions. She is an inspiring woman with a passion for humanity. She has dedicated her time in the thoughtful and careful planning of her education tackling initiative, which provides a model to bridge the funding gap for basic education of the millions of out-of- school children in Nigeria.


Born and raised in the north of Nigeria, a traditionally conservative society, Maryam defies stereotypes and is focused, driven, articulate and clear about what she would like to achieve- a better Nigeria through investments in women and children. She has shown leadership in the design and implementation of ICF's vision and in bringing together a stellar and diverse group of people to serve on the ICF advisory council.


Maryam represents the next generation of leaders in Nigeria and Africa.She works closely with Donor agencies such as the United Nations Development Programmes on the Sustainable Development Goals. She has gained extensive legislative and policy framework development experience at Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC) and has worked at the investment division at the Securities and Exchange Commission. She has also gained vital experience working as an investment banker at BGL securities.


Mrs Abdulmumin earned an exceptional degree in Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) and a B.Sc. Business Administration specialising in International Business. Her passion for community development, child advocacy is apparent in her yearly programmes and philanthropic efforts.
